I’d like to propose that Striven prioritize the development and integration of an AI strategy into the platform — especially for automating high-volume, repetitive tasks that consume valuable staff time.
For example, a simple yet impactful feature would be the ability to scrape an email inbox for vendor bills, extract the data, and automatically enter it into the system. This type of AI-driven automation is already available in other platforms and could save AP teams significant time and reduce errors.
Beyond email scraping, here are several areas that come to mind where AI could be transformational within Striven:
Auto-categorizing expenses and GL coding based on historical patterns
Detecting duplicate or unusual transactions for fraud prevention
Smart document matching, such as auto-matching bills to POs and receipts
Predictive cash flow analysis using historical data and trends
Natural language queries (e.g., “Show me all unpaid vendor bills over $5,000 due next week”)
Invoice due date reminders and escalation routing powered by AI-based prioritization
Smart task routing or approval suggestions based on workflow history
Easy workflow creation based on repeated task history
Custom reporting without the complexities of hunting and pecking through the various datasets.
AI doesn’t need to be overly complex to be effective. Even lightweight machine learning models or rule-based automation with intelligent defaults can create real operational efficiency for small businesses using Striven.
The platform now is very traditional. A human must conduct an operation in order for something else to happen - it’s very linear. I’m personally very comfortable with Striven, but it needs to get better in areas that directly impact operational efficiency and thereby cost savings.
Would love to hear what others think — and if the Striven team has any roadmap plans in this direction.
Thank you for reaching out about this topic. AI is definitely something Striven is looking to implement in the future. However at this time we do not have anything specific lined up on the roadmap. We are still researching, and looking into ways we can build this into our system.
We are certainly open to hearing everyone’s thoughts on how AI could improve Striven, and I would be happy to open an enhancement request to get this feedback logged as well.
I will be in touch with you on the new task, and look forward to seeing what others have to say about this as well.
This is a great topic - one that might stay open for a while as there are so many different ways it can be implemented. I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on where it should be prioritized.
We are going to be taking the first steps on the AI Journey in our June release by implementing How To questions into the Striven Search function and go from there.
Name of Feature/Request: Embed AI generator tool into Striven for use in product descriptions, discussions, etc.
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: I was wondering if Striven is going to be adding an AI generator for any area that requires writing, i.e. product/service descriptions, outgoing task emails, Email blast, workflows, etc.
Frequency: Whenever written content is created and edited. | - It will expedite the edit process for content in the text fields. - Provide alternative text options that can elevate the content.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: I was wondering if Striven is going to be adding an AI generator for any area that requires writing, i.e. product/service descriptions, outgoing task emails, Email blast, workflows, etc.
Using my Wonderchat application, I was able to create a separate AI bot called “Striven”. The Wonderchat AI learned from Striven’s 500+ page website. I created a link from the custom AI chatbot, and made a bookmark within in Striven. Now my employees can ask the STRIVEN AI CHATBOT a question and get an answer.
Previously accomplished: Editing, revising, and writing content has been done manually.
It seems like creating AI agents is becoming easier every day with the sophistication of the AI models. Security is going to be the highest hurdle I suspect. Regardless, there are some simple processes that could be automated by algorithm and/or AI that would greatly enhance the efficiency and user experience.
