We are using the Hearth Edition and duplicate a lot of task thru the process of completing installations. Typically, they follow this sequence on task types:
Site Inspection
Check Framing
Pressure Test gas line
Install
Startup
It would be nice if Striven could time/date stamp when we change the task type. That way we can see when and by whom the task was changed by. It would also be nice if it sorted from newest at top to oldest at bottom for us to retrace our steps backwards to the beginning. Below is an example of what I’d propose, with my changes in yellow highlight.
Yes please. It is already doing some auto-populate. My suggestion is adding time stamp, tweak of the language, and adding user name that duplicated task.
Thanks for the suggestion. I am working on this request and i am checking for any alternatives. After checking the details I will create an Enhancement task to add your suggested features. I hope you have a great day.
I’m going to beat this dead horse. The task system needs an update with better tracking, line item integration from sales orders, attachments transferred to new tasks created through workflows or a centralized storage area so it’s not 5+ duplications of the same attachments for each job just to have them where they are needed, and preferably a native mobile app with offline access.
In the meantime, being able date/time stamp edits to fields would be a vast improvement. Even a specific custom text field that auto date/time stamped and added the user info to a comment would be a great improvement.
One of the more important details that should be addressed, is that if a Task is duplicated, the fields that are not marked as “visible on customer/vendor portal” should not have their contents auto-duplicated to the description field of the new Task. Ultimately, there should be a setting page for “what to do on duplication”.
