Conversation started on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 19:18 (GMT+0) [19:19] Kristin Moore: Hello. I have a question about sending emails multiple people at the same time. [19:19] Courtney has joined the conversation [19:19] Courtney: Greetings Kristin! [19:20] Courtney: Sure! How can I help? [19:20] Kristin Moore: We are getting complaints from our vendors that “claim” that we are not listening to them. They are asking us to copy other individuals in their organization when we send an invoice. [19:21] Kristin Moore: Of course, we are doing what they have requested and selecting multiple email address to send the email to. [19:21] Kristin Moore: The problem is that each receiver does not see who else the email was sent to. Therefore they are annoyed that we are not following their instructions. [19:21] Kristin Moore: Thoughts? [19:23] Courtney: Do you have an example of any email addresses that are claiming they are not receiving the emails? We can check our bounce list to see if anything is getting blocked. You could also check your email log to see if the emails are being sent. [19:23] Courtney: If you go to Reports > Communications > Emails this is where you will find the email log which you can filter to see specific vendors or email [19:27] Courtney: IF you go to the Vendor’s Dashboard > Waffle menu > Communications > Email you will be able to see only their emails sent/ received in the Email log without having to filter [19:30] Courtney: Are you still with me? [19:33] Kristin Moore: Sorry! Got distracted and wasn’t hearing any notifications. [19:33] Courtney: That is okay! [19:34] Kristin Moore: Its not that the emails are bouncing. Its not that they are not receiving them. [19:34] Kristin Moore: The issue is that person A cannot see that person B also received the same email, even though it was sent to both of them simultaneously when sending the invoice. [19:35] Courtney: Ok it sounds like you want there to be something like a CC: option within the emails going out of Striven. Is that accurate? [19:35] Kristin Moore: If you send a Gmail to multiple people, everyone can see all the people who were included. [19:36] Courtney: Or you want to be able to see all individuals in the To: field. [19:36] Kristin Moore: Yes. [19:36] Kristin Moore: I can see them as the sender. But I want the receivers to be able to see them too. [19:37] Kristin Moore: We send an invoice to the person who ordered the product. But we also have to send it to their A/P department. We need them to see that both individuals were sent the email/invoice just by looking at who it was sent to. [19:40] Courtney: Ok at the moment we do not have the functionality to show that on the receiver’s end. This would require an enhancement request. Those can take some time to get through the review process, but I am happy to advocate for it if you would like. [19:42] Kristin Moore: Thank you. Yes, I would like to make that request. It’s making us look bad because the “think” we are not honoring their request. Unless someone has another suggestion of how to resolve this issue in a faster timeframe. I know enhancements to functionality can take several months if they ever get done. [19:45] Courtney: Ok I completely understand your concern. I will open an enhancement, but in the meantime I can recommend potentially using a screenshot from your email log to provide the vendors with proof that they got sent to the requested parties. I know that is not ideal, but it may help alleviate the immediate concern. [19:46] Kristin Moore: I appreciate the suggestion, but that’s not really feasible for me to ask our sales people to do that. Plus it just looks unprofessional. [19:46] Courtney: I completely understand. And I will definitely add this information to the enhancement as well to help us advocate for you. [19:47] Kristin Moore: Thank you. [19:47] Courtney: Is there anything else I can assist with at the moment? [19:47] Kristin Moore: No. Thank you for your help. [19:48] Courtney: Of course! I will follow up with you soon through the task discussions. [19:48] Courtney: Have a great day! [19:48] Courtney: Thank you for your chat today.
