Name of Feature/Request: Adding Attention Name To Ship Station

What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: To be able to have a shipping contact and email address pass to ShipStation. | Frequency: Once we go live this will occur daily | We’ve chosen to move from our old ERP software to Striven to automate our processes as the old system required a lot of manual workarounds , especially between the front office and the warehouse. Our warehouse currently checks the ShipStation system everyday for our Shopify sites, prints shipping documents, pulls and packs items and then prints the labels.We were hoping to seamlessly add our Striven orders to this process without any manual interventions or workarounds.
For the email address request: ShipStation automatically sends email tracking to the email address received from Shopify’s API. We would like to orders received through Striven to work the same way. As Striven works now the warehouse will have to remember to look up every order in Striven and copy and paste the email address into ShipStation. As we are planning to integrate more and more pieces of our business into Striven over the next year this will add significant time our planned shipping process and increase the likeliness that our customers will not receive their tracking numbers. This would take us back to some of our current issues paper process as the warehouse is likely to mistype the email address or forget to look it up.For the Contact Name field: Most of our shipments are going to large companies with huge warehouses and many employees. As a result we need our shipping addresses to contain both the company name, which is the Shipping Location Name we are passing to ShipStation, and a contact person name. Also our shipping contact is often not the same as the overall Client Contact Name or the Billing Contact and we need a place to store it in Striven so we can refer to it should there be an issue with the system. We are currently using the Address 2 field which does get the information to ShipStation but is not ideal for data integrity and is a bit confusing for training purposes. This makes the contact name harder to find on the screen and will be confusing for addresses that actually use Address 2 for Suite numbers and will not work at all for most colleges which use all three address fields for Street address, building and suite. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Attempted Solutions So Far: We are storing the email address in a custom filed that is not passing to ShipStation and the warehouse is looking it up there and adding it to the shipment info. As stated above we’re solving the contact name by adding it to the Address 2 field.

Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Previously accomplished: We haven’t gone live yet with Striven but for now we are putting the contact name in the Address 2 field to get it over to Ship Station. In our old ERP the Sales Orders were printed and entered to our shipping Software by hand. Our Shopify stores have a shipping contact and email address that are currently passed to ShipStation.
