Name of Feature/Request: Add “Default Assignment” button within the Task
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Frequency: 1-2 times per day | Currently, when creating a Task (or changing the Task Type) you are given the prompt to add the “Default Assignment”, so the appropriate Resource Pool is attached to the task.
Unfortunately this means that you have to select the “Default Assignment” at Task Creation which causes empty or “not yet complete” tasks end up assigned to the Pools. Additionally, if you selected to NOT add the “Default Assignment”, the only way to receive that prompt again is to change the Task Type back and forth – removing data you may have entered in the fields previously.
Furthermore, there is no way to know what fields are to be required when creating a Task Type you’ve never used before – meaning a Task may sit partially empty for longer than anticipated while those required fields are filled out. Adding a “Default Assignment” button (or even a mouse-over “Info” ! that tells you the Default Assignment group) within the Task will allow for instances where someone can Create a Task > Have assigned to themselves so no Resource Pools are alerted > Review the Task and ensure it is 100% filled before assigning to appropriate Pool.
Attempted Solutions So Far: You must select the “Default Assignment” prompt when first creating the Task.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Previously accomplished: In order for the Task to receive the “Default Assignment”, you must select that when the Task Type is selected. If you did not select Default Assignment on task creation, you must essentially recreate the task
