Name of Feature/Request: Task Viewed - Logic Improvements
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur with this: Accurate reporting of response time on tasks
Attempted solutions so far: N/A
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven:
“Task Viewed” logic currently works as follows:
Once someone is assigned to a task and that person views the task page, this triggers “Task Viewed” status which is what response time is measured by.
There are cases where you can have a task up on one screen and assign it to yourself in another (or someone else assigns it to you) and you work on the task without Task Viewed ever being triggered because the page still has a pool assigned to it. This negatively impacts response time. Example tasks of this happening are task #6572074 and #6577973, also very easily repeatable.
The change in logic requested is to have task viewed still trigger the way it currently does (task assigned to someone, then page viewed by that person) but also trigger if the task is assigned to someone and that person makes any changes on the task (start date, due date, asset, discussion, etc). This should remove any instances of someone working on a task but it not being marked as Viewed.
