We want you to share what you’ve done or the type of help you are looking for.
These guidelines apply to all general users, developers, and consultants who post non-commercial, technical content and support within the Striven Community Integrations forum.
I. Contributor Status and Striven’s Guarantee
1. Striven’s Guarantee and Vetting Policy
-
Striven does NOT review or vet the third-party developers, consultants, or companies who contribute to this forum or who build integrations for our customers.
-
The only integration provider Striven fully guarantees is our own company, Miles IT.
-
Customers engaging with any Contributor for integration work do so at their own risk, and such engagements are solely between the customer and the contributor.
II. Posting Policies and Mandatory Content Rules
The primary goal of contributors in the Integrations forum is to inform, educate, and empower the Striven community by focusing on technical value and time saving expertise.
1. Focus on Technical Expertise (Encouraged Content)
Contributors are encouraged to share content that is directly applicable to customer needs and technical challenges:
-
Samples of Work: Share anonymized technical outlines, process flowcharts, or architectural diagrams of integrations you have built. Focus on the how and why (e.g., “Using an event-driven model to sync Striven invoices to an external data warehouse”).
-
Problems Solved: Detail a common integration roadblock and the specific Striven API calls or logic used to overcome it.
-
Best Practices: Offer non-proprietary advice on data mapping, error handling, performance tuning, or API usage limits.
2. Prohibited Commercial Content (Strictly Enforced)
Unless you are a Striven-Verified Integration Partner (like Miles IT), commercial activity involving specific pricing must be handled privately.
No Public Pricing or Cost Discussion
Do NOT post or respond with any mention of dollar amounts, hourly rates, service package tiers, discounts, or specific contract details related to your services or proprietary software. This information must be kept private.
Handling Quote Requests
It is strongly preferred that all discussions regarding quotes, pricing inquiries, or contract negotiations happen privately (e.g., via direct message, email, or a contact form link in your signature). You may reference that your services are available, but keep the focus on technical value.
No Direct Sales or Calls-to-Action
Posts must not contain phrases like “Buy our connector now” or “Sign up here.” Promotion must be limited to a professional Signature Block.
No Excessive Self-Promotion
The focus of the post must be substantive technical content, not a sales pitch.
3. Transparency and Signature Block
-
Identify Yourself: Clearly state your affiliation (e.g., Independent Developer, Consultant at [Company Name]) in your profile.
-
Clear Signature Block: You may include a single, professional signature block in your posts limited to:
-
Your Name and Title.
-
Your Company Name.
-
A single, non-transactional link (e.g., to your company homepage or a specific technical resource page).
-
III. Moderation and Enforcement Procedures
Striven’s Community Moderators reserve the right to enforce these policies to ensure a positive, professional, and vendor-neutral environment for all Striven users.
Minor Policy Breach
Warning via private message. The post will be edited by a moderator to remove non-compliant content (e.g., public pricing or excessive promotion).
Repeated or Major Breach
Temporary Suspension. Posting privileges will be revoked for 30–90 days, depending on the severity of the violation.
Egregious Breach
Permanent Revocation. Posting privileges will be permanently removed, and the account may be fully banned from the Striven Community.
