Inactive Inventory

Has anyone created a report that shows you your inactive or slow moving inventory? I can’t seem to find a way even using the new report builder to see inventory on hand that has zero usage or sales or even slow moving. I would like to see what is dead, inactive or slow moving inventory. I would like to view movement for a certain time period, etc.

Greetings Jared,

I have created a task for this request and will generate a report based on the Inventory dataset with the necessary filters for item status, sales, and time period as per your requirements. I will send you the resolution along with screenshots once the report is ready.

Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime!

I would try using a transaction detail report. This would be on Invoices and Sales Receipts and can show you history.

Thank you @Naveen and @AshleyCrest. To be a little more specific. We have five locations in five different cities, all with their own inventory on hand. Combined we have approx. $2.5M of physical inventory on hand. I would like to see a list of the items on hand for our Lubbock location and for each item see what how many of each item were sold for a specific time period (last year) and the date of the last time sold.

Here is an example of what I am talking about

It doesn’t show quantity on hand, but does show you how many sold per site and you can get as granular as you need. I would assume you could add the bills to this and run an API with a Pivot table that could get you the info you need now. I haven’t recreated this in the new Beta so Idn if it gives more fields to filter and would plus and minus for bills very sales. I think your idea is great and would love to see Striven create this report for you. But since that takes time I was offering a work around that could get the job done sort of.

Okay…I will dig into this using the new Beta and see if there is more data available. If not, I will use API and a Pivot Table. Thank you for your feedback and help

Following. I can see my company being interested in this. Thanks @AshleyCrest for the workaround in the meantime!
