Name of Feature/Request: conflict resolution - tasks - like appointments

What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: When Viewing tasks on a Calendar and you drag the task to a time that it overlaps another task for the same resources would like to have a Conflict Resolution option similar to they way it works for Apppointments | Frequency: Multiple time daily as service team is assigning/scheduling tasks | When the Service team is creating/Scheduling and Assigning tasks can be difficult to squeeze in the task into the first available slot. Having the system notify the user based on the resource’s future availability as well as factoring in the length of the task would greatly increase the efficiency of schedule work to be completed.

Attempted Solutions So Far: The customer is using the calendar function and Dragging tasks to open time periods. Sometimes needing to edit the task so move to time periods not displayed int eh current calendar view

Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Previously accomplished: Manually looking through the calendar for the next available opening

Coming Q2 2026

  • At the task level have a button to check availability. This will show availability based on date/time selected and other parameters configured at the task type level

    • Upon selection of the assignee and slot - the start date and assignee will be added/updated

    • Due date will be recalculated if necessary based on settings

Also included:

  • At the task level, introduce the ability to associate one or more skillsets. Defaults will be set at the task type level.

  • At the task type level, the user can configure who can work on the task based on the employee attributes. They can also configure availability settings.

  • At the task type level, allow users to set up availability configuration to narrow down the list of employees that will show up as available to work on the task
