Name of Feature/Request: Ability to Edit ‘Email From’ On Sales Orders and Ability to CC on Sales Order Emails
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Users are able to edit the origin email on Sales Orders as well as CC multiple individuals on those emails. | Frequency: Daily. I oversee a team of people. Sometimes I have to change who is the sales person to ensure the email gets followed if they work out of the office and won’t be able to respond quick enough. | So the person who sends the email (normally a manager) can be on top of the correspondence. Some of my techs are not in office staff but in order to manage who wrote up the quote I would like to keep their name as a Sales Manager. I don’t want to use myself and use assignments because it puts all their jobs in with mine on reports and makes it harder to filter.
Attempted Solutions So Far: Email it from the system and then from the Portal. But multiple people should be able to be included on a email and be able to approve it from the Portal. The from email should be who sends it. The sales person should be CCed.
The current design is lacking. I would like Will included in this as he is doing the upgrade for Sales Orders and this is related to that.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: I would like the ability to change who the email for sales orders comes from. Similar to how they behave from an invoice. Also the ability to Cc people on those emails incase there is a team working on a quote/project. As it is now, they come from the Sale Rep and if that person is on the road and can’t quickly respond to emails replies can easily get missed. | Previously accomplished: It isn’t. If I send a quote it goes to the customer from the sales person. I pray my techs check there email.
