Name of Feature/Request: When changing GL account on an Item profile, have a question pop up asking if you want to apply the change to historical transactions & then apply the changes if Yes is selected.
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Add functionality to update historical transactions automatically. | Frequency: There are a few items which have required GL Account changes that need to be made or have been made. Without these corrections it makes it very difficult to manage the business. | As noted above. This is a key component to properly manage our business. Quickbooks handles this.
Two of their tenants are impacted by this need.
Attempted Solutions So Far: Entering G/L is not a good option. Too labor intensive and also is only a temporary solution to an ongoing issue.

Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Previously accomplished: In QuickBooks when a category or item is changed for an item or account, you are prompted to ask if you want it to affect the historical data once the change is made. In Striven there is no option for this. The issue right now is some items and accounts are posted to Expenses and they could have been assigned to Cost of Goods sold. When this is corrected this is not reflected in the P & L report.
