Name of Feature/Request: Unified HTML Formatting for Portal Sales Order Views
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur with this:
- Professionalism: Ensures a consistent “Brand Experience” from the moment a customer opens an email to the moment they sign in to the portal.
- Reduction in Confusion: Prevents customers from questioning if they are looking at the correct document because the layout matches what they saw in their inbox.
Attempted solutions so far:
Modifying the Order Approval Email Template to be as simple as possible, but:
- Item Groups are not displayed on the Portal as needed.
- Total ‘Display As’ does not display the changes.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven:
When sending an Order Approval request, Striven allows for beautiful, highly formatted email notifications and Order Formats. However, when the customer clicks the “Approval Link” and is taken into the Portal, that formatting is lost or replaced by a generic Order format.
For high-end service providers, the presentation of the quote is part of the sale. If the portal displays “raw” data or a different layout than the approved email, it creates a disconnected user experience.
We are requesting that the Customer Portal inherit the same HTML display logic format used in the Order Approval Request so the customer sees a mirrored, professional version of the order in both places.
