Name of Feature/Request: The ability to automatically copy related asset information when creating a copy of an existing asset.
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: The ability to automatically copy related asset information when creating a copy of an existing asset. | Frequency: Daily | To further clarify, our need is for all fields of the asset to be copied including the related assets. The reason we would copy an asset is if we were replacing it with another due to the original misfunctioning. We would copy the asset so that we would retain the original service history, and start a new history for the new asset. Since copying is for simply replacing a bad component of a system, all fields except serial number would remain the same for the new asset. For ease in programming it would be fine for it to completely copy the asset, and we will change any field that needs to change.
An example would be a camera asset. It is connected to a certain DVR, cable number, and server. Those would not change by swapping the camera out for a new one.

Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: The only fields that copy are in the top left box. The related assets do not copy, nor do any of the custom fields. We will be replacing assets on a daily bases and need all the fields to copy over. The only thing that will change from the old asset to the new is the Serial number, Secur-Net Num, Date Purchased, and Installing tech. Everything else will stay the same. It would be a tremendous amount of work to have to manually add all that info into each new asset. | Previously accomplished: When the customer copies an asset, all related assets have to be manually added again from the original asset.
