Name of Feature/Request: Template Assets
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Able to make an Asset from an asset library similarly to how Tasks can be created from the Task Library | Frequency: daily | Assets are key to any organization keeping track of different things, but without consistency it is difficult to find the data that the organization needs in a quick manner. Templates in all areas are a way to help that consistency without human error. We have template tasks and we can make template Project Management, but there is no straightforward way to template assets
Attempted Solutions So Far: there is no existing Striven functionality for this, it has to be done manually
You could potentially make a customer called “Assets get copied from here” then go to the asset that is a template, duplicate it, then change the customer, but that is a cumbersome process
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: I am thinking where I would be able to make an Asset from the Asset Library similarly to how Tasks can be created from the Task Library. This would help us and customer so that they can have consistent documentation of their assets.
It would be most useful for instances where customers have similar assets that they would add to multiple customers. This could be anything from a vehicle to a server or a service where there are common values for fields, and it would be a great way to help consistency. If we are talking about a car dealer, this would help constancy so that one person does not say “Chevy” and another could say “Chevrolet” | Previously accomplished: Right now people are manually creating an asset if it is even being created at all
