What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Improve dispatch and visibility into scheduling. | Frequency: Daily | Scheduling your staff requires knowing when you have availability. Without a combined schedule, this is impossible at worst, impractical at best.
Attempted Solutions So Far: Being able to integrate custom calendars with Google/MS/outside calendars would be a workaround so we could see employee’s off days or personal appointments on the same calendar as their Striven tasks and appointments. It would be better to have these able to be shown within Striven, obviously, but something in the setup prevents that critical feature for scheduling.

The platform needs significant improvement to better support field service operations and scheduling. A robust scheduling system should include visibility of holidays, days off, on-call times, and tasks for each employee (or resource) directly on the calendar.
Additionally, integrating with external calendar platforms like Google or Microsoft would be a valuable interim solution. This integration would allow schedulers to view all relevant information in one place, even if it’s outside the current system, while the scheduling and dispatch functionalities are revamped.
The current dispatch design seems to operate on the assumption that employees manage their own schedules by assigning tasks and creating appointments independently. However, this approach does not align with how most field service organizations operate, where centralized scheduling and dispatch are critical for efficiency. Every other scheduling/dispatching software I’ve ever used puts off time on the calendar under the employee’s (resource’s) name. I can’t imagine it showing up the way it does in Striven.
