Scheduled Billlings

Has anyone found a good work around for the fact that there is currently no way to schedule a billing using a calendar date?

Ideally, I would like to create billing milestones within a sales order and assign an ETA using a calendar date and be able to track those future billings within the system.

Right now, I have to do it manually in excel

Greetings @paddycbrown

Thank you so much for reaching out. I have reviewed your requirement carefully, and I understand that you would like to add an ETA field to your Sales Orders so it can be tracked in the system for future reference.

I am happy to confirm that this can be achieved in Striven using two different methods, depending on which option best fits your setup:

1: Custom Column : You can create a custom column by navigating to: Company > Settings > Accounting > Sales > Sales Orders > Custom Columns. Create a new column, set the Type to Date Field, and name it Sales Order - ETA (or any name you prefer).

2: Custom Field : Alternatively, you can create a custom field by going to: Company > Settings > Company > Customization > Fields, select Sales Order from the field selector, create a new field, set the Type to Date Field, and name it Sales Order - ETA (or any name you prefer). Here, you can also enable Audit changes if required.

Once the “Sales Order - ETA” field or column has been added to a Sales Order and populated with a date, you can track it using the Report Builder, with the Sales Order Details dataset. Add the custom (field/column) column to the report, and any Sales Orders with this field populated will appear in the report results.
To ensure smoother communication going forward, I have also created a task and will add a discussion there. Thank you again!
