Name of Feature/Request: Requested Striven Updates - Add Line Item to Journal Entry[NC]
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: McCollister’s updates are entered as requests for Striven Updates. | Frequency: This happens on at least a monthly basis for 5+ employees for several accounts each. | The ability to insert a new line item elsewhere in the Journal Entry would allow the items to remain grouped by Class. Having this update would save the McCollister’s team several hours each month not having to manually review the whole journal entry to ensure all items of the same class are present.
Attempted Solutions So Far: There is not another workflow that the McCollister’s team is aware of that is currently available.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: We have a couple of suggestions for the next Striven upgrade: Be able to insert rows in the middle of a journal entry We have standard journal entries and due to the number of classes we have, when a new line item has to be entered, it has to be entered at the very bottom of a journal entry. It would be nice to be able to insert rows in the middle of the journal entry and keep the class information together. Be able to post an amount of $0.00 on a journal entry Sometimes on our standard journal entries we do not want to post a dollar amount on a particular line item(s) for a certain month but will want to the following month. We either have to post it for $.01 or remember to add it back the following month if we delete the journal entry lines. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.
