Name of Feature/Request: Request to add “Sales Period” column/filter to “Inventory by location” Dataset
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Enhance the Stock Status Report to allow users to select a Parent Location and automatically include all Child Locations in the report. This will improve inventory management across multiple shops in different cities by consolidating inventory activity in one view. | Frequency: This issue impacts us daily, as inventory management is a critical part of our operations. | Consolidating inventory data across parent and child locations into a single report will save significant time and effort for our team, allowing them to focus on strategic tasks rather than manual data aggregation.
Attempted Solutions So Far: Manually selecting each child location is tedious, error-prone, and inefficient, especially when dealing with a large number of locations. It also increases the risk of missing critical data.
Generating separate reports for each location and then manually consolidating them is time-consuming and does not provide a real-time, unified view of inventory.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: “The current Stock Status Report requires manual exports and pivot tables to analyze inventory across Parent and Child Locations. Users need a way to select a Parent Location and view all associated Child Locations to streamline inventory tracking and improve decision-making. This enhancement will eliminate manual workarounds and provide accurate, real-time inventory insights.” | Previously accomplished: Currently, users must manually select each individual location (including child locations) to generate a consolidated stock status report. This is time-consuming and prone to errors, especially when dealing with a large number of locations.
