Name of Feature/Request: Reopening Task #5200825: Timesheet Reports
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: When updating an employee’s hourly rate to reflect on an already submitted timesheet allow the update to reflect automatically so that it shows accurately on the timesheet report without having to save. | I’ve noticed the employee hourly rate does not change if I edit their rate under their employee profile. In order to have the timesheet report change the hourly rate, I need to resave their timesheets manually. I feel like this is an error because there is a field for an Effective Date for the Hourly Rate. Shouldn’t that trigger the calculation automatically? Striven Support’s impression was that the timesheet would not change because it the timesheet was saved before the hourly rate was inserted. I agreed, but after giving it more thought, I feel that this is wrong because of the Effective Date field. I am trying to analyze employee cost, and have never used the Hourly Rate/Cost field before. If I wanted to view past Timesheet Report performance, I would need to go and resave all employee timesheets. This is going to be about 1000 timesheets to view 2024. This doesn’t seem right?
Attempted Solutions So Far: Resave the timesheets to reflect the update
