Name of Feature/Request: Permissions on Sales Order Types
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: To have a permission that limits an employee to view cost and mark up info of an order | Frequency: This is part of their operations (Everyday) | Not every employee is authorized to see item pricing and cost/markup information. If we could have permissions on different Sales Order types, and then restrict showing pricing on those types it would keep our data secure. For example, our technicians should not see what we are charging the customer for a job. Yet, they must be in a Sales Order or Invoice to enter serial numbers of items they install in the field. If we could create a Sales Order type that does not show pricing and limit them to only that type it would solve the problem. Additionally, our sales people do not need to see cost/markup, but our owner does. Same situation.Alternatively, being able to refine restrictions on who can view Item pricing, Sales order totals, and also employee pay amounts (without having them lose access to the rest of the employee record) could be an option. The data could simply did not display for those restricted.
Attempted Solutions So Far: We will have to create custom fields for the task where the technician can fill in the parts and serial numbers they used. Then our office team will have to do double entry and copy them one by one onto the sales order.
There is no work around for the sales people issue. The owner must keep a separate Excel spreadsheet with the cost/markup data.

Would you put in a future feature request to get permissions on Sales Order types? The situation is that Jim wants his quotes to show our item cost on screen, but he does not want a salesperson to see that. If we could give permissions to view/use by Sales Order type, that would solve the issue. We could create a type that only shows retail pricing.
