Name of Feature/Request: Option to skip weekends when updating task dates via milestone date in projects
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur with this: Significant time savings for our project managers
Attempted solutions so far: Currently, while task dates can update automatically when the milestone date is changed, there is no option to skip weekends. This means that our project managers have to spend a lot of time manually updating task dates in order to ensure no tasks fall on weekends, especially in large projects with many tasks.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven: A simple checkbox option to skip weekends would make our project managers VERY happy since none of our team members have shifts on weekends!
To hopefully help with both the enhancement but also the existing condition of sliding tasks under milestones, I want to report an issue I'm facing with that. For several of the recent jobs where I've slid tasks under the milestone, the task automically starts to require a start time. This causes the task to take up the ENTIRE column each day it is scheduled for. This is very difficult, and would especially be so if there were multiple tasks that would take up the entire column for several days. Might be a bug, or the result of our calendar being so full.
