Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: When changing the status of a task, if there are linked tasks, these statuses do not change. This becomes a problem with things like on-site tasks, purchasing tasks, and opportunity tasks because the associated work does not also change status. An example of this would be if a support task has an associated on-site task, and the support task is marked canceled or done, the associated on-site task persists and needs to be manually canceled or marked done. This is often overlooked and creates situations where we send people to work that does not exist.
Possible solutions:

  1. A pop-up reminder when changing the status of a task that there are linked tasks and those statuses may need to be adjusted as well.
  2. Everything in the above solution, but per-task type setting to enable the reminder rather than a global setting.

A native mobile app could do that with the API connection very easily. It’s a great idea.
