Name of Feature/Request: Have tax automatically calculated on bills and credit charges and auto-marked as billable
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Improve time savings on creating bills, credit card, charges, other AP transactions. | Frequency: Every time a bill is created/paid or a credit card charge is created | The functionality exists on invoices and would be beneficial to have on bills and credit card charges as well
Attempted Solutions So Far: Currently manually adding the tax line and marking the credit card charge or bill as billable but it would be preferable if the system could auto-calculate the tax just like on invoices

Is there a way for Sales tax to calculate at a certain %, and it will need to be billable. [21:05] Courtney: Ok. At this time I am not seeing a way to have it automatically calculated there. If you are creating the credit card charge from something like a bill it will reflect whatever is on the bill. But if you are creating it from scratch for something else you would need to add it in on the credit card charge accordingly. And there is a billable checkbox for each line on the credit card charge that can be checked if it needs to be billable. [21:07] Courtney: What would be the need for having this feature? In other words what is it about not having it that is impacting your business and/or day-to-day? [21:08] Aaron Melton: Ok. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Would be cool if when we are adding credit card charges, an automatic Sales Tax could be input, and allow us to have the option to make it billable as well. Maybe I have missed something, but that would help spend up entry. [21:09] Aaron Melton: Since almost everything(and not everything does) has Sales Tax, If we had a way to select it, rather than manually entering it, but be more efficient. This would require an enhancement to be submitted and I cannot guarantee it would get approved or how long it would take to implement if approved. However, I would be happy to open the request for you if you would like us to try for that feature. [21:11] Aaron Melton: Yes. Please try for that FEATURE, unless there is another way to have it more efficiently completed. [21:12] Aaron Melton: There is no reason to have to enter Sales Tax as an item every time there is a Credit Card Charge or Bill (With the option to have it Billable.)
