Name of Feature/Request: Future Feature Request - Inventory Locations Display
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: 1. To display item locations and quantities on the Items screen by adding a column that shows all locations where the item is stored along with their respective quantities.
2. Improve Location Selection on POs and SOs | Frequency: During Operations | Display Locations on the Items ScreenIt would be incredibly helpful to have a column on the “Items” screen that shows the item’s location(s) and quantity. This would allow us to quickly identify where items are stored without needing to dig into each item individually. Displaying only the default location wouldn’t be sufficient — we’d like to see where the item is actually located and how many are available in each location.
Improve Location Selection on POs and SOsCurrently, when selecting a location on a Purchase Order or Sales Order, the dropdown doesn’t show all locations by default, and we need to click “load more.” It would be great if:
All locations loaded immediately.The dropdown search responded dynamically. For example, typing “Zon” should display all relevant matches like Zone 1, Zone 2, etc.
As we plan to expand our locations and naming becomes more compact, this would significantly streamline our workflow and reduce time spent searching.
Attempted Solutions So Far: These are all great suggestions! We’re planning to revamp Items, Orders, and Transactions throughout 2026, and your ideas will absolutely be taken into consideration as part of that process.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: Good morning, There are a few things I would love to see with locations and how they are displayed. First, I’d like locations to be visible as a column on the “Items” screen. That way when you are searching for items you can see quickly and succinctly where items are located. This should be where the item is and the quantity. Showing the default location would not necessarily help.
Also it would be nice if on a PO or SO the location select screen for items would show all locations right away without having to load more on a drop down. It would be nice if the search function would also provide a drop down showing locations beginning what is already entered. For example, right now we have locations Zone 1, Zone 2, etc. If I typed “Zon” then all of those Zone location would show up. Eventually I am going to expand our locations which will need to be more compact and this will help speed up the location selection process. Thanks, Shane
