Candidates - IP Logging

Name of Feature/Request: Candidates - IP Logging

What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur with this: Enhanced Security to help combat bad actors. See: North Korean remote worker scheme - Wikipedia

Attempted solutions so far: N/A

Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven: A current scheme exists where bad actors from different geographies will attempt to gain employment. One important preventative step to combat hiring one of these bad actors is to compare their IP address against where they are claiming to be located, as well as cross-referencing this against known proxies or residential proxies.

There is currently no way to view the IP addresses candidates have applied from or submitted resumes from. This is likely currently recorded in Striven, and it would be useful from a screening/security perspective to have this data be viewable to ensure that candidates are geographically where they represent themselves to be. We currently only have visibility into a source IP when an employment agreement is completed.

Idea for solution: Rather than take up a large amount of DB space logging each click a candidate makes, I think a simple but effective solution would be to simply log the source IP on 2 events:

  1. When an application is completed

  2. When an upload is completed

If a tab could be displayed in the attachment portion with the logged IP address in the display below, this would be helpful.
