What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: To allow items from sales order/Quotes that was already written up or approved to be transferred to the task/work order. Then the tech would be able to edit quantities for each item on their task installed that day. | Frequency: Daily x 10 work orders per day | Our vision to see this implemented are as follows:
For Service –
Create a work order/task for a tech for a particular customer.If the dispatcher know the tech needs to take any “ITEMS” for this service they can list the “ITEMS” on the work order with appropriate quantities.The tech can add and edit any additional “ITEMS” on the work order Once the work order/task is completed you should be able to create a sales order that loads all the “ITEMS” (all items in software) from the work order so you can proof and cut for the final invoice.The ability to merge more than one work order into a single sales order and load all items from work order/task.Being able to create groups on work orders would be ideal for customer’s that have multiple items repaired on the same work order/task and that group(s) transfer over with the items in the group to the sales order.
For Approved Quotes(Sales Order) –
From an approved quote/sales order you can create work order that would transfer all the items listed in the quote.Items appear the same way on the quote/sales order) Including keeping the grouping and order. It would be nice to have the five Custom Columns in the work order/tasks types be shown that are used in sales orders/quote.The fields that display can be pre-determined by work order type.One step further would be to mark these items “allocated” so you can see how many items out of your “ON HAND” stock have already be allocated to a work order/task for a project. This would help with keeping the appropriate amount of inventory on hand .

ReportingWe would need to be able to create a report similar to the one shown that shows the items and total quantities coming over from the work order.
This feature would save us a huge amount of time as we are creating 10 copies of approved sales order a day to be able to keep track of our installation side of the business. Having this feature would streamline this process and make it much easier and make the software work much better for us. We believe anyone that does installation and service could benefit from the features we have requested and make striven more powerful as most field service software does not handle large multi-day installs very well. | Previously accomplished: In our old system this feature already existing and keep work flow for mobile users very efficient and was easier to use, it also reduced the amount of time the front end office had to spend on scheduling and data entry tasks. In MOST service companies this is a standard feature. The standard feature and business work flow from service and install companies is your TECH/Installers get a work order that loads all the materials needed, tracks the time, and gives them space to enter in notes and private notes. Striven right now offers the last two features fantastically but the first aspect is being overlooked and does support the service/install industry in its truest capacity.
