What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Is there a way for us to have Striven notify us if we use the same serial number twice in a sales order? | Frequency: Multiple times a month, more frequently in the colder, busier months. | “We want to make sure the same serial number doesn’t appear on different orders. When we reserve the serial number that unit is being held for the customer. Ultimately, this achieves us not selling the same unit twice to different customers.”

Attempted Solutions So Far: There is only an error popping up for the same serial number applied to the same item. So this would be a duplicated serial number for a single item.

Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: Hey Gabby,Is there a way for us to have Striven notify us if we use the same serial number twice in a sales order? This is a feature our previous ERP had and it was very useful in our line of work. When we get the item in (in a PO) we assign a serial number. Once a customer reserves the unit, we add the serial number on their sales order. My hope would be for the serial number to no longer be selectable on other sales orders since it is “reserved”. | Previously accomplished: Right now you cannot assign the same serial number to the same item but you can assign the same serial number for different items.
