Name of Feature/Request: Add additional Merge Fields for Customers - Workflows

What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Additional merge fields on work flow | Frequency: Daily – Workflow emails is mostly where I would like to have more merging capabilities. Both standard fields and custom-generated fields | Since I don’t have sufficient merge fields, I have to create many more workflows to accomplish the same goal. And since I don’t have mergeable custom fields, there is less information I can include in the workflow emails.
There seems to be a lot of restrictions on mergeable fields. All standard and custom fields in customer, sales order, task, Project Management, opportunities should be mergeable throughout the system.

Attempted Solutions So Far: Since the customer don’t have sufficient merge fields, they create many workflows to accomplish the same goal. And since they don’t have mergeable custom fields, there is less information they can include in the workflow emails.

Today, I setup 31 workflows to remind my customers of annual report due dates for different states. Having all fields (custom too) mergeable would be a huge help. Is anything on the road map for this functionality? | Previously accomplished: Customer has to create many more workflows to accomplish the same goal.
