Name of Feature/Request: Ability to use negative quantities with Lot Number tracking OR be able to turn off Lot Number tracking for Items when user wants to add a negative quantity
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Option #1: Ability to Use Negative Quantities with Lot Number Tracking. So I can still assign lot numbers to items but input a negative quantity to add them back to stock within a Sales Order. (preferred)
Option #2: Ability to Turn off Lot Number Tracking for Items when I want to input a negative quantity. | Frequency: Multiple times a month | Right now, Adam is changing the individual Item to -1 within the Item Group located on a SO. They have Lot and Serial Number tracking enabled and the system is requiring they add this information to the Item but they don’t want to because the Qty is a negative. Adam does not want to change the quantity to 0 and wants it to be -1 because: “The reason we are including the negative quantity on an Item group is to account for parts that we are removing/replacing for the order. so the HEM-CMK inventory should increase when the order is invoiced. We are using this method instead of performing inventory adjustments, as we often need to change parts and this method works better for us than performing frequent inventory adjustments”.If you set the Qty to 0 then it lets you save. Confirmed this does not work for customer because they need the inventory to reflect that because the item has a -1 that it’s actually added 1 back into the system. This works instead of them having to do inventory adjustments.
