Name of Feature/Request: Ability To Report On Budgeting Updates For Lifespan Of A Sales Order
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: To be able to report on the partially invoiced sales orders to see remaining balance by item quantity and amount owed | Frequency: Whenever trying to calculate remaining budget on sales orders | Ideally, we have a Project Page that has budget a scope, associated tasks with breakout budgets per task, billed (invoiced) value, unbilled billable value and unutilized budget. A one page snapshot would be useful for Project Managers to quickly see the status of their project from the task and budget standpoints. It could be shared with customers if desired. Within the current Striven design (as I know it), a sales order is created for the “project” with estimated line item budgets per billing rate. Timesheets are entered and billed to the sales order. An invoice is created and unbilled items are added. What I think we are missing is visibility to remaining budget (sales order minus invoices). Sales order started with $10K, we invoiced twice totaling $2K where do I see that there is $8K remaining? Ideally I run a custom report selected for sales orders in a certain “type”. The report shows a column for the original sales order, columns for each invoice and a column for sales order remaining. Columns would total at the bottom including any taxes charged. Rows report line items, quantity and price.
