What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Ability to process refunds directly through Striven instead of the Stripe interface. | Frequency: Every single day. Anytime a payments that was made via Stripe needs to be refunded. | “I keep hearing stripe compared to authorize.net. These are in not really comparable. One was a way to take cards over the phone and the other is a live credit card terminal which require much different tools. Just because one didn’t have features should not be the precedent for the new partnership. Stripe handles payments through terminals and all other platforms I have used and am aware of would also offer a refund option when there is a live terminal for physical customer payments.
In our case having a cashier have to call the office to login to a back end platform to process a refund is not a good process. The cashier should be able to process a refund if their CC machine can process a payment.
Imagine going to Home Depot, garden center, etc and not being able to get a refund through a cashier. Imagine how that would make you feel as a customer. Imagine how that makes us look as a company.
Please ask development to review this again because this is a very Importsant issue that we are dealing with every single day.”
Attempted Solutions So Far: Currently the customer has to initiate the refund via Stripe and then record the refund in Striven.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: Good afternoon, we had a customer walk in to our store about an hour after a purchase and requested a refund. We cannot see a way to process this refund within Striven. Although we understand there is a way to process partial or full refunds in Stripe our cashiers do need the ability to process transactions at the time of visit and we cannot share our Stripe dashboard with all cashiers. I am hoping this is something that you have a solution for. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter!
