Name of Feature/Request: Ability to manually link an existing Sales order to an opportunity
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Ability to manually link an existing Sales order to an opportunity | Frequency: Anytime we have multiple scopes of work we are quoting to a customer for one opportunity. 3-4 a month. | The opportunity is the central location for all correspondence with the client during the sales process. Any requests for different work scopes are originated here. Striven’s beauty is that everything is connected and the user is able to quickly jump between areas that are related. In this case, there is no logical connection between the Opportunity and the SO that is related to it, when we copy the SO.
Attempted Solutions So Far: Put a link to the ‘other’ SO’s somewhere in the opportunity. Put a link to the opportunity in the SO somewhere. Both are redundant since there is already a spot in Striven for linked relationships.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Previously accomplished: We could create multiple SO’s from one opportunity, if they are common -in a template, or simple. When they are a specialized SO, with lots of job specific notes, and the client wants to see the price with 2 line items out of the 20 changed, the easy solution is to copy and change those 2 items. However, we have to just ‘know’ that there are multiple SOs on an opportunity when doing it this way.
