Name of Feature/Request: To be able to Download P&L in CSV
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Implement an option for downloading data in Excel as a normal data range, thereby bypassing the table format? | Frequency: Daily/During operations | We’re interested in requesting a feature update for Striven that would allow users to download data in Excel format as a normal data range instead of a table. This feature would streamline processes by eliminating the need to manually convert the table to a range for full Excel functionality. It’s worth noting that other downloads from Striven to Excel do not default to table format, raising the question of why this particular export behaves differently.
Attempted Solutions So Far: Create custom report utilizing GL Postings Accrual Dataset
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: As you are aware, I’ve encountered an issue where exporting a line item from the P&L section in Striven results in an “Export - Activity Report” that, while downloaded as an Excel file, formats the data as a table. This table format restricts certain functionalities in Excel, such as sorting, because Excel cannot perform sorting operations directly on tables. However, I found a workaround that involves right-clicking within the table to access a dropdown menu that allows the conversion of the table into a normal range via the “convert to range” option. This conversion enables the use of all Excel functionalities, including sorting.
Given this situation, we’re interested in requesting a feature update for Striven that would allow users to download data in Excel format as a normal data range instead of a table. This feature would streamline processes by eliminating the need to manually convert the table to a range for full Excel functionality. It’s worth noting that other downloads from Striven to Excel do not default to table format, raising the question of why this particular export behaves differently.
Could you please inform us if it’s possible for your development team to implement an option for downloading data in Excel as a normal data range, thereby bypassing the table format? This enhancement would greatly improve usability and efficiency for us. | Previously accomplished: Customer was using NetSuite
