Name of Feature/Request: Prompt to Update Prices on Sales Orders When Prices Have Been Changed at the Item Level
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur with this: Saves time from having to go back to previous Sales Orders and manually update each line item with the new price.
Attempted solutions so far: Price Lists, Manually updating each line item, Creating brand new Sales Orders
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven:
Before Striven: Sage has the ability to quickly and automatically update prices
Digging Deep: When orders have been waiting for a Customer to approve - months can go by and the Pricing is not always still accurate when the Customer is ready to proceed. We currently have to manually update the Sales Order to draft a new one entirely. This process is manual, time consuming, and inefficient when changes need to be made quickly and on several different orders. It is not realistic to upkeep manually. The functionality exists in other areas of them system for different scenarios.
- We currently have a similar prompt when changing Customers on a Sales Order to update the Price to match that Customer’s Price List.
- We can configure Item Groups on a Sales Order to update them without manual entry.
- If a Price is changed on the Sales Order we have the opportunity to update the Price going forward.
We are looking for a Sales Order Prompt that says “Prices on ‘X Items’ have been changed. Would you like to update the Price for these Items?” to automictically apply the new Prices accordingly and prompt us that the order may no longer be up-to-date on unapproved orders.
