Name of Feature/Request: Option to Create a Task from a Task (for task linking)
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Have the ability to create a task from a Master Task in order to keep the link between additional tasks and the master task they were created from.Scenario: Our service review task type is used to track, investigate, and address customer complaints. With these, there are times when we need to create additional work (via task) that we feel would be valuable to have linked back to the “Master” Service Review task type. | Frequency: Handful if not more weekly
Attempted Solutions So Far: Duplicating the task and editing the description/type/etc.
The reason it won’t work:
The “duplicate” task retains details not relative to the new needs. For example, I am working on a Service Review task and have next steps for another member of our team to work on to help in addressing the Service Review or cause for it. I would need to duplicate, clean up the task, then put in the pertinent details needed for what I would need done next.
