Name of Feature/Request: Need Test Alignment Option for Check Print Set Up or Reprint Option w/o changing check number
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Improve Print Checks queue by adding a test option or reprint option so customer’s can test check alignment without having to re-work check numbers on live data. | Frequency: Low frequency because alignment for new check stock is not often | Currently only way to test is with live data. Opens room for error and not recalling the original number. There are a lot of print tests (sometimes 10) to get it exactly right so there will be a new check number every time and has to be reverted back to the original. Avoid inevitable.
Every new customer will go through this process at least once.
Attempted Solutions So Far: Using previously printed checks checkbox, and updating check number back to original on the alignment page before printing. Or just going back into the check and reverting check number back to the original after.
There is room for human error and causes extra unnecessary manual efforts.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: When we need to set up new check stock to print we need a way to test alignments without using live data. Currently there is no print test feature for printing checks. When we use our live data we have to keep redoing the entire check. After the test print, Striven will erase the check from the print queue, so we need to go back and find the check and check the “to be printed” box again to get it to show on the list. If you keep test printing checks the check number will keep updating so you have to keep going back and adjusting so that you don’t have issues with incorrect check numbers after set up. We would like to be able to align our checks for printing using a test mode with test data to maintain the integrity of our check number sequencing. | Previously accomplished: Running multiple test prints, and having to reset check numbers back to the original
