What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Have custom report automatically update Transaction Date filter to match today’s date. This request is specifically for GL Postings Cash Basis Data Set.
Attempted Solutions So Far: No workarounds to automatically update current date that I know of currently.

This year to date would be dates from the first day of the year to the current date. [21:08] CHARLES DEMSKY: Is there any way to get a rolling year period? [21:08] CHARLES DEMSKY: i.e. running the report would filter 11/14/21 - 11/13/22 [21:08] CHARLES DEMSKY: or rather just 11/14/21 to now [21:09] Gabrielle: Which report would this be for? [21:09] CHARLES DEMSKY: I am working on the GL Postings Cash Basis dataset [21:09] Gabrielle: Okay I’m going to check into this just one moment. [21:15] Gabrielle: Charlie, do you get any results when you set your filters to this? That would only give me results for those 2 individual days [21:16] Gabrielle: Oh yes! Thank you. [21:16] CHARLES DEMSKY: Yes that works, but I need the results to automatically update. This will be used in an external report through the API and I don’t want the users to have to come into Striven and update the filters. [21:17] CHARLES DEMSKY: Which is why I’d like to use the Period filter [21:17] Gabrielle: What about if you change the second filter to use Transaction Date (period)? Do you get any results? We can try using both. [21:18] CHARLES DEMSKY: That still requires the first filter to be hard coded to last year’s date [21:18] CHARLES DEMSKY: If I ran the same report tomorrow I would have to go into Striven and change it [21:20] Gabrielle: I see. I can definitely submit a future feature for something like this. [21:20] CHARLES DEMSKY: So that is not currently possible in that data set? [21:20] Gabrielle: Not to my knowledge, Charlie. [21:21] Gabrielle: I’ll double check with the rest of my support team if you don’t mind waiting a bit. [21:21] CHARLES DEMSKY: OK. Please let me know if there’s any way to achieve it currently. [21:28] Gabrielle: I haven’t received any answer back yet. If there isn’t already a report in Striven (that is not custom) then I don’t believe there would be a way for this.
