Name of Feature/Request: Have Default Ship to Location at the Company Level and Auto Populate that location on POs
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: To have default Ship To address set at the company level as the Company Primary Address. | Frequency: A few POs per month possibly for dropship | Just so that mistakes are not made and to ensure things get to the right location when shipped. At one point a customer received a drop shipment that was meant to be sent to their company directly
Attempted Solutions So Far: Creating 2 PO formats, one for dropship with one merge field and one for standard company shipments with another merge field.
Or utilizing 1 format and specifying the shipping address on every PO which results in more clicking around. This also requires having to change the current merge field on the format

[18:25] Courtney: You will either need to change that merge field to reflect the PO Ship To address and select the address you want every time on each PO. Whether it be your company address or another location. [18:26] Courtney: Or you can leave that one as is, create a second PO format for Drop Ship specifically with the correct PO Ship to merge field. And only select this format for POs that are checked for DropShip [18:26] Courtney: It might make the most sense to create a secondary PO format for use when DropShip is applicable. [18:28] Victor Ferguson: So the check box is there for what reason? [18:31] Courtney: The checkbox is there for reporting purposes, and will allow you to select the Customer’s address as the Ship To address on the PO [18:32] Courtney: The Company-Primary Address merge field that is currently on your PO format will always only pull your Company’s Address because that is what it is coded for. If you want a ship to Address to pull in (even if it is your company address) you need to use a Ship To related merge field. [18:33] Courtney: If you want the merge field address to by dynamic, you will need to use: [[PO-Order-Customer-Shipping-Address]] [18:34] Courtney: When you create a standard PO do you select your Company Address in the PO for Shipping? [18:37] Victor Ferguson: We have not been selecting the ship to address. I would prefer the Ship To to default to the Company Address unless specified and the format Ship To to be dynamic. [18:39] Courtney: Ok you have 2 options with Striven’s current capabilities. [18:39] Courtney: 1. Select the Ship To address on every PO even when using your own company address, and use the [[PO-Order-Customer-Shipping-Address]] merge field so it will pull in whichever Ship To address is selected on the PO. [18:40] Courtney: 2. Leave the current PO format as is, create a second format specifically for DropShip POs, and use the [[PO-Order-Customer-Shipping-Address]] merge field on that format.
