BEFORE YOU BEGIN - About the Enhancement Voting category

We are excited to announce the launch of Striven enhancement voting!

This community section is where you can submit enhancement requests and vote on the ones that will help your organization the most. Before you submit or vote, please note the following key information and guidelines:

New Requests Must Use This Method:

  • Review Process: All new requests are reviewed to ensure there is enough detail, it is in the right subcategory, there isn’t a duplicate, and that there isn’t a way we can Solve It With Striven to help you now.

  • Set Number of Votes: All users will have a set number of features they can vote on across all categories.

  • Effort vs. Votes: Features that require more development effort will require a larger number of votes to help move them forward.

  • Realistic Timeframe: Striven operates on a quarterly release cycle for high-quality updates. While approved requests are prioritized, the standard development process takes time, typically six to twelve months to ensure a well-integrated and well-tested solution. Even features that receive enough votes may still take up to a year before release.

Your Voting Power

Your vote count is based on your community and subscription level. You will only have this number of votes across all requested features, so picking your most important priorities is critical.

Your votes are automatically assigned based on your level. On account creation, you may start with less votes than entitled and if so, your support specialist can assist with this. Votes can be rescinded and reused any time as your priorities shift, and after any topic is closed, votes will be given back to be reused. We encourage you to also comment on other user’s topics to add additional information on why a feature is important to you.


Step 1: Explore “Solve It With Striven” First

Before submitting a request, we strongly encourage you to see how you might achieve your goal using the existing functionalities in Striven. Your striven support specialist may be able to help with this. This can often provide you with a solution much faster than waiting for a new feature to be developed.

Schedule Now to select a screen share with your Striven Specialist to review the following:

  • Explain to us how you did it before with previous software - show if possible.

  • Discuss how you wish you could do it in Striven.

  • Apply our Solve It With Striven process.

  • Determine the time/cost savings this would provide to your company to see its bottom-line impact.


Step 2: Search for / Submit a topic and vote

In many cases the feature you are looking for already has been requested so please either search or browse the related category.

Knowing that a small tweak can have large time or financial savings helps us even prioritize better. The more detailed information you provide the better.


Optional Step 3: Priority Development

If a New Feature is Required and there is no scalable way to solve with Striven:

Striven offers a unique option for situations where rapid development is valuable: priority development. This is an expedited, paid path that allows your approved feature request to be added to one of our upcoming quarterly releases, potentially three to six months out, instead of waiting for the standard development process and bypassing the voting process altogether. Our team will gladly discuss the details and feasibility of sponsoring your request if you’re interested as well as review the costs associated with this direction. This is meant for critical needs, especially those that may be more unique to your business processes.
