Allow multiselect from list for Timesheet: Customer: Name filter in Timesheet dataset

Name of Feature/Request: Allow multiselect from list for Timesheet: Customer: Name filter in Timesheet dataset

What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Improve Report Builder user experience with multiselect options | Frequency: Unknown | The process to select multiple Customer Name filters one by one is cumbersome

Attempted Solutions So Far: Selecting each Customer Name as it’s own filter. Would recommend exploring other datasets to see if there is an alternate way to create the same report.

[13:31] Courtney: Where are you trying to create this filter? Are you in the Customer List or in a custom report maybe? [13:31] Christine Smith: custom i think [13:31] Christine Smith:

Thank you for clarifying [13:32] Courtney: In one of your customer name filters where it says Select from List, do you have the option to change that to Multiselect from List? [13:32] Christine Smith: no [13:33] Christine Smith:

The best way would be to do what you are doing and add multiple filters under a Where Either group. [13:34] Courtney: How many customer names do you need to filter on? [13:34] Christine Smith: about 12 for this report [13:35] Christine Smith: i’ll make the where either work for this [13:35] Courtney: Right now you have the Customer Name filters under a Where Group, but you will want to add a Where Either group for the customer names. That way it tells the system it can be this customer or this customer or this customer etc. [13:35] Christine Smith: i’ll try that. thx [13:36] Courtney: Ok. Apologies for the inconvenience on that one, but it is the best way to handle this for the dataset you are using. Is there anything else I can help with at the moment? [13:37] Christine Smith: not right now. is there a plan to add multiselect? [13:38] Courtney: At this time I am not aware of anything, but we can certainly request it for you if you feel it is Importsant. I can’t guarantee the future feature request will move forward, but we can get it reviewed for possible approval. [13:39] Christine Smith: thanks [13:40] Courtney: Ok I will be in touch when I get that task opened. I hope you have a great day! [13:40] Courtney: Thank you for your chat today.
