What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: To enhance consistency and flexibility by including the same merge fields in Invoice Printable Formats that are currently available in Sales Order Printable Formats, enabling users to display additional dynamic data on invoices as needed. | Frequency: This is a daily operational issue. Every invoice generated is affected, especially when clients request detailed information. Since invoices are customer-facing documents, the inability to display necessary dynamic fields creates workflow delays and occasional miscommunication | Matching the merge fields between invoice and sales order formats would not only streamline operations but also ensure brand consistency, reduce manual intervention, and strengthen trust with clients by providing complete and clear documentation.
Attempted Solutions So Far: We’ve tried modifying the invoice template using available merge fields, but those don’t support all the required data points. We’ve also resorted to manually entering extra details in the description fields or attaching supplementary documents. These approaches are time-consuming and inefficient, and they increase the risk of error or inconsistency.
