Name of Feature/Request: Add item filter on the PO list
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Add item filter to the PO list search | We need to be able to search for Purchase Orders by a specific item in the PO List view so that we can re-order the item, check on the status of an item, follow up with the vendor or complete a PO that we have not yet sent. We may order the same item from multiple vendors or have multiple people working on the same order so the person who needs to find a PO may not have the PO number or vendor. Often the item is the only information an employee may have on the order in question. This is also needed for our customer service reps who receive inquiries from the customers waiting for back ordered products. The reps need to search to see if the purchasing department has placed a PO and when we can expect the order. A customer service rep would only know the item name/number. To access this information currently the employees would nee to complete the steps below:Go to the Item list and search for the item you want.Then you click on the Qty On Hand amount link.This brings you to the Item Quick Report.Find a Bill and click on the Transaction NumberClick on the Related ToClick on the PO in the Related To BoxIf the bill transaction number does not bring up the PO they are looking for they would have to repeat the last 3 steps repeatedly until they find the correct PO. Currently you can search the Sales Order list by Item name/number. We would like for the Purchase Order list to work the same way.
