Add GL Account Number Search to Chart of Accounts Filter

Name of Feature/Request: Add GL Account Number Search to Chart of Accounts Filter

What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur with this:

  • Time Savings & Efficiency: Accountants and bookkeepers memorize and utilize GL account numbers daily. Forcing users to type out full or partial text names slows down routine navigation and report filtering.
  • Quality of Life: Updating this filter to query both account numbers and names simultaneously (or adding a dedicated number filter) aligns Striven with standard financial system behaviors, making day-to-day data entry seamless for the financial team.

Attempted solutions so far:

Currently, when trying to find a specific account (e.g., 1010 - Checking), entering “1010” into the Account Name field yields zero results. The only current workaround is to manually type out the word “Checking” or scroll through the list to find the account visually.

Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven:

In standard accounting practices and traditional ERPs/accounting software (like QuickBooks or NetSuite), the Chart of Accounts is naturally driven by numerical formatting.

Financial professionals think in terms of account number ranges (1000s for Assets, 4000s for Revenue, etc.).

This feature would bridge the gap for users transitioning to Striven who are accustomed to rapid numerical data entry, removing unnecessary friction from everyday financial management.
