Name of Feature/Request: Add a permission for Payments - Apply
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: To Prevent Manually Applying Credit Card Payments To Invoices. | Frequency: We had this happen over 10x in July 2024 and one of the transactions was over $30,000 | Catching these errors is very tough and can be extremely costly. Now that we are aware that this is happening we can catch these errors sooner however we have lost thousands of dollars due to the lack of ability to prevent users from manually applying a payment without an actual payment being received.
Attempted Solutions So Far: Provide a permission to allow us to have cashiers and sales reps take credit card payments through Stripe however prevent any payments with other payment types to be applied.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: Is there anyway to prevent users from being able to manually apply payments however still be able to take credit card payments through Stripe? | Previously accomplished: Our company is open to users making manual errors or taking advantage of the system and entering fake manual payments. Cashiers and sales reps can do this due to the lack of permissions in the system.
