Name of Feature/Request: Add Filter to exclude Project Status changes from Specific previous Statuses
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur with this: This request is being handled still through work flows but they are not being automatically sent. Need to manually going into each one after it queues and making sure it was indeed meeting the criteria to send.
Attempted solutions so far:Tested different options to find the best way to control when the workflow triggers.
- Use the filter “Project: Status Note Change Date = Today” in the workflow. Update the Status Note of the project only when the customer want the workflow to trigger.
- Since customer responded that they use Status Notes for internal operations, suggested using Internal Notes instead. Add a keyword for example like “Trigger” in the project’s Internal Notes section whenever they want the workflow to run. In the workflow filters, use “Project: Internal Notes = Trigger” and requested to remove the earlier filter “Project: Status Note Change Date = Today” to avoid trigger due to status note changes.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven:This is an integral part of our workflow. When our clients dont get this confirmation email they question if weve received their order which in turn causes an email / phone call to verify we’ve received. This is what our clients expect as apart of their normal, so we want to continue with their normal. This system should not have impacted them and instances like this it does impact them.
