Name of Feature/Request: Link Opportunity to Task created by Workflow Trigger
What financial, time savings, or quality of life improvements will occur from this: Allow a Workflow created Task to be associated with the opportunity that triggered it’s creation. | Frequency: Frequently, each time a Workflow action is triggered to Create a Task related to Opp | This will reduce the user’s click path to view details about an opportunity. Currently, there is no way to add an Opportunity, other Task, Sales Order, ect to the linked section on a Task, if the task has not been directly copied from or created from another function. Even though the Task created from an Opportunity based Trigger, it does not link the Opportunity that causes the Trigger to run to the task created from the action.
Attempted Solutions So Far: Adding a link to the Opportunity within the Task created by a Workflow trigger.
Digging deep - Any additional Why behind this request / How was this accomplished before Striven in what system or software: Original Description: “Have a Task that was created from a workflow trigger based of the status change in an Opportunity to be related back to the Opportunity automatically other than having to do it manually” | Previously accomplished: Manually notating the Opportunity that a Workflow created Task is linked to
