# I’m trying to enter an individual as a customer, but Striven is requiring a company name. Can this requirement be turned off?

I’m trying to enter an individual as a customer, but Striven is requiring a company name. Can this requirement be turned off?

Within your [CRM Settings](https://app.striven.com/CRM/CRMSettings.aspx?sq=sett), you can determine if your Customers/Vendors are Individuals by default so the company name field is removed.
