Closed Sales vs Invoiced Amounts showing in the Income of the P&L

Hi,

We would like to move to Striven for our financials but as we transitioned, I discovered that the Income that shows in the P&L is the cash that has been invoiced and not Closed Sales.

In QuickBooks, which is the system we are using today, the Income section of the P&L is the Closed Sales. Is there a way to set the Income in the P&L in Striven to be the Closed Sales? We have been managing our financials like this for the last four years.

I understand your problem completely. I am a CPA, and am also transitioning to Striven from QBD. The best way I can explain it so far is apparently when standard reports are run from Striven on the Cash Basis the date the system uses is not the transaction date, but the date the item clears the bank. This is detrimental to all tax filings that a company, no matter who they are complete. Realistically even a direct deposit can take days to post to the bank account from the request to process it. If the transaction is at the end of a period, it is very possible it will not appear at the bank for a short period of time. This causes the Cash Basis report seen in Striven to be incorrect. It also affects any Payroll Tax Report, Sales Tax calculation on the cash basis, or any and all Income Tax Returns filed with Federal or State to be different than the mandates by Government Agencies. Government Agencies view the important date to be the date of the transaction posting, not the bank clearing. I have discussed this with multiple people at Striven and we are working on a work around to eliminate the problem. Ultimately it will require a programming fix to set the dates used for calculations to the Transaction Date, not the Clearing Date. I have faith in the Striven Team, given the willingness to address the issue and work on it. The contrast between the Support Striven is giving versus the delays imposed by the Intuit Team Pro Advisor Team are astounding! Personally, I am hanging with Team Striven! There is a special meeting being held by the Community on 07/23/26 @ 1:00 pm EST to focus on this. Hope to see you there.
